Works like a charm. Unscrew your hard drive and mount it, then you can wipe the whole thing, back it up or do forensics if thats needed.Mount several HDDs and you can copy the contents betweend HDDs or use the "button", but I chose the first option since it is more controllable.Has IDE support for old disks.Works automatically with MacBook Pro.
    Great purchase and is reccomended

it includes a lot of ports to read data of the most common media. it's nice to recover disks without having to build it into an external case.there's an option to change the place of the Molex power for IDE disks.possibillity to read Sata disks with E-Sata for faster data transfer.
it's a great device for reading out the most common media types.

It's small, it works very well, it's got a built in LED status light. The price is cheaper than I could find anywhere for something like this
Some people wonder why you would use this. Most laptops, where you typically find 44pin 2.5" drives, don't usually have room for these adapters. The true use, though, is in embedded systems that utilize these drives. If you need one you know that though.

  • It does what you expect

It fits well to the DVD-rom slot, no chanche to slip out (in a D630). Assemling is simple, I got some screws in the packet as well, which was more than enough to fix the hdd into it. There is a small black plastic bearer, which is not on the pics, to hold steady your hdd and makes easier the assemblation.
I looked around many places for an optibay, but I did not want to spend that much on it (yeah I am cheap). This is a good trade-off, does it's work, even it is just DVD module converted to an optibay.
As it has about half prize compared to the cheapest similar product in my country, it's totally worth to buy. If you don't care about the small gaps, cheap materials just want it to hold your hdd in your laptop, it does it's work. You shouldn't expect much for your small money, but it works well.
