2.5 3.5 hdd adapter Customers Reviews

  • Good product - serial MRFLY-RWFFF-YMXRR-FRXMR

Timeously delivered, well packaged product, supplied with power lead with UK 3-pin plug, USB/mini-USB lead and CloneDrive software. I am currently cloning my main hdd, which is still running and allowing me to work away, eg posting this review, at the same time.
Thanks to the common sense of another purchaser, who did receive a serial number - MRFLY-RWFFF-YMXRR-FRXMR - and who posted it in the forum, I was able to get the software installed.
Luckily the GUI is simple enough to use - so far! - as the English version of the manual is almost impenetrable!
Looks like it's going to be a cheap, but efficient and useful tool.
  • Great adapter 2.5 to 3.5 at low cost.

It a very light product, good quality of material. It fits ok in the 3.5" bay. It looks good on the pc. It have many ways to screw it to the Pc Case and don't require to screw the disk to the adapter. The handle makes it very practical to manipulate
Its a great product at low cost, it works good for any hdd or ssd of 2.5"
  • Totally works

Really good space saver/problem solver. The product feels robust. Dont think it will bend or break when used normally. I was pleasantly surprised that not only there were no sharp edges or corners but also the parts seems to be properly powder coated
Does what it says, quality part

It's a HDD adapter for SATA disks (ATA doesn't work, and you cannot buy such disks today), and it comes with mounts for 2.5 inch disks.
I recommend to use it with a 2.5 inch disk, because a 2.5 inch disk can be connected to the PC over an USB adapter (e.g. http://www.dx.com/p/dsw-usb-2-0-to-sata-sync-data-cable-white-208962), without opening the PC and without extra power supply. I have a 1 GB disk, 2.5 inch (because it's more or less the same price as 320 GB or 512 GB disk), and I think it's plenty of space.
Works also with SSD, tested with Samsung SSD 840, 120 GB. HDloader is much faster to display the game list, but that's all. Ingame loading times don't differ.
  • Does exactly what I needed.

Very happy with it, it's picked up every drive i've thrown at it so far(IDE and SATA). Transfer speeds are reasonable, not as good as having it in the case, but that's implied by the formfactor.Easy to carry around, compared to an actual external case.Poorly translated english manual, but since there are only so many ways to plug these in, not really loosing points for that. If I had gotten the version that automatically does backups, however, that might be a concern.
Very much satisfied, will buy again.
    Will be buying again.
