2 port usb 3.0 Customers Reviews

  • Sort of a gamble, but it worked for me

This card does indeed connect a USB 3.0 external drive at USB 3.0 speed. It is supplied with an adapter cable, in case you do not have a floppy power (small 4-pin) connector in your system. The adapter cable ends in a 4-pin Molex plug.
Initially, I thought this card was malfunctioning, because my USB 3.0 external drive only connected at USB 2.0 speed. It turned out that the USB 3.0 enclosure was defective. As soon as I installed the hard drive in a new USB 3.0/eSATA enclosure, it connected through this card at full USB 3.0 speed. Depending on your hard drive, expect transfers at anywhere from 90 to 100+ MB/s.The included driver CD-ROM isn't strictly necessary. After I installed this card, and logged into Windows 7, Windows automatically detected it and installed the right driver.
As long as you realize what you're getting, this is probably a worthwhile buy. It is certainly a very affordable way to add USB 3.0 to an older desktop PC.

Right product, without failure or damage, comply with what has to be done. The contacts work well. The prodcut is strong and well completion. The expected speed of a USB 3.0 are suitable and averages, copying large files in no time, at no time were lost data or transmission failures thereof.
The box is simple and easy to open. Good quality, fair price, precise mechanism
  • Excellent! Works as intended!

Excellent build quality, wires can be easily bent to route through tight corners within my Corsair 600T case, no observable lack in performance when transferring data.
Fits perfectly into the USB3.0 hub on the motherboard. Does not wiggle in place and as mentioned, works as intended without any performance drop
A must buy if you need an adapter for your onboard USB 3.0 hub if your computer case doesn't come with one, e.g Corsair 600T

I already had some USB3.0 PCIe/Expresscard Controllers, but they have the old NEC/Renesas Host-Chip which isn't very reliable. These cards have often problems with 2.5" USB3.0 harddrives, i/o errors after a few minutes or won't work at all. This card here has the Via VL800 4Port Host-Controller and is working perfectly.I could get a read-speed of 100MB/s with a SanDisk USB3.0 Stick, and after enabling the Turbo-Mode in the driver of the controller i got 125MB/s in real file-transfer and 185MB/s in CrystalDiskMark. To activate Turbo-Mode you may have to download the newest drivers from the Via website, which has a very slow downloadspeed.
a very nice fast usb3.0 pcie controller card with the ability to connect front usb-ports.
  • Fast USB card

    - Card worked directly after installing in PC on Windows 7 Ultimate.- Much faster than my USB onboard USB ports. Data to and from my external hard disk (USB3) now transfers much faster than before.- No problem phycally installing in PC. Does fit nice in slot.- Good built quality.- Tip: Order additional USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Male to Female Extension Cable (180CM-Length)
Maybe faster delivery. But sending stuff over half the world for free may take some time.
Great USB card for half the European price.
